Barreiros was a Spanish industrial company founded by Eduardo Barreiros. The main business area was the production of engines and bodies for trucks and tractors.
In 1962, Barreiros joined forces with Chrysler to produce Dodge and Simca passenger cars. Barreiros offered a surprisingly large range of models for Spain, which had little motor power in those years, for example the rear-engine model known in Germany as the Simca 1000, which was offered in Spain under the name Simca 900 Special with 950 cm³.
