Knapp 9000 Follower und das Festival ist ausverkauft? Dann kommen wohl die Hälfte der Follower zur diesjährigen Ausgabe. Wir machten schon einmal die positive Erfahrung mit dem WhatsApp-Kanal von Rock im Wald, als wir ein Ticket für unseren überraschenden Besuch suchten und es irgendwie sehr unbürokratisch und nett mit dem Ticketkauf und der Übergabe klappte. Ob das heuer auch der Fall sein wird? Bestimmt gibt es noch das eine oder andere Ticket vor Ort.

The small but excellent German label "Broken Music" regularly surprises me with interesting releases. Their latest is from the Osnabrück band "The Neurophonic Temple," and the name says it all. For Swedes, it seems it's not difficult to make catchy rock music without pandering to musical role models, creating a sound that perfectly blends fuzzy stoner, kick-ass punk, and metal. And then I hear just 11 killer songs, including my absolute favorite, "Prayers of Fire," which seems to have come straight from the 80s: rock, metal, a touch of synth-pop, a catchy chorus, and the perfect drive for dancing and headbanging. Guys, it's just one song, but it has five tags.
