Could be difficult to appreciate this record after the loss of Alex and Josh and it takes a few listenings to get into this record. It´s not the straight ahead thing as on their previous records, everything sounds quite controlled, even Ryan´s voice. The record sounds brilliant and if such a remarkable voice stopped sounding like itself and the rest of the band invented itself new, then it´s really art to create such an album. A pithy cover and absolute reliability regarding melodies, guitar work, vocal lines and drive. It's a shame that this band has so far been denied greater recognition. Tom Hanks' voice and his guitar playing, tightly meshed with Jeff Hensom's guitar, reach an almost Maidenesque quality on this track. This track swings and grooves so much that pure headbanging is downright one-dimensional; you have to boogie and bang your head.

Some songs create associations which I have to express by my own creativity. I checked my Bandcamp algorithm and stumbled over King of None from Finland. After listening for 20 seconds or so I had these pictures in my head when I traveled for the first time through the Egyptian desert in 1990 and listened to "Wasteland" by "The Mission". This made me to check an epic desert on Youtube and add this fantastic song to these amazing pictures. Speeder Approaching lies perfectly between "The Mission"...

I guess, if you want to rock in the Netherlands, you will find huge foot steps made by Peter Pan Speedrock and it could be difficult to find your own way to rock. And it´s good to hear that Hell Valley High carry on the torch of melodic Scandinavian Rock and punky influenced Kick Ass rock with twin guitars and a catchy chorus, doing this on their own way, quite more melodic than PPSR and with a bit more of dirt than most of the Scandinavian bands. Karma to Burn are legend now, King Weed will be the new torchbearer of powerful and complex instrumental rock. Also one of the few instrumental bands with an idea to use Judas Priestesque harmony hooks and a production close to Priest´s "Stained Class" or "Killing Machine".
