As we saw this announcement, it was clear that we has to be there. We also wrote to our friends how about to travel to there. We met our friends Sylvie and Christian from Adipocere Records and we had a good time together.

We saw the French Stoner Rock band Deafslow supporting The Necromancers in 2024 at La Grenze in Strasbourg. And again the band did a good job with a lot of instrumental passages and tons of riffs. Their music was so good that it motivates the audience for the first circle pit I ever saw in a secular building. Instead of sacramental wine there was profane beer dropping on the floor.
villagers of ioannina city
We usually close our eyes at the beginning of a Villagers of Ioannina City (VIC) concert and open them when it's over. Until then, we've spent about 90 minutes singing, crying, and sobbing at the beauty of the songs. This time, however, it was a very special experience for everyone involved, as Alex (vocals, guitar) told the roughly 1,000 spectators at the start of the concert. For the Greek band, it was a bit of a culture shock, since in their country it's sometimes impossible to visit churches or monasteries outside of religious services. And then, a 1,000-year-old monastery with an incredible light show becomes the second main attraction alongside the band. All we could do was marvel, take photos, sing, cry, and sob. Even the sound wasn't a problem in this enormous hall (25m high, 15m wide, 50m long), as the nave was filled with sound from a two-sided in-line active speaker system. The already sublime and epic songs gained even more atmosphere and warmth from the natural reverb of the nave than they already radiated. I had to create a movie for the band as a memory of this evening. Check it below.
