BetiZfest Cambrai, 9/4 - 11/4/2026

The name of this festival in Cambrai comes from the local delicacy called "Bêtises". These are very sweet, very colorful and very varied candies, which are also mentioned in the Asterix volume "Tour de France". “Bêtises” means stupidities and so the origin of the festival name would be clarified. This festival has been around since 2003 and the line-ups read like a who's who of the French metal and punk scene. The 10 bands of this year´s lineup present also 10 different brands of music, which is is not a problem in France, because they have the Hellfest as a model, so very festival wants to have this wide range of styles, every festival wants to have a great sound and light, every generation should feel comfortable at every festival and the venue should also look good. The Live Report BetizFest 2023 gives an impression of this festival.

If you arrive by motorhome, you can camp behind the Palais des Grottes. I could bet that this area will also be prepared for a pleasant stay.

This lineup brings together heavy riffs, raw energy, and strong attitudes from across the alternative music world. Black Bomb A open the fire with their powerful mix of metal, hardcore, and rap, made for sweaty pits and loud crowds. Fragile add emotional melodic hardcore, while Glowsun slow things down with massive stoner rock grooves and psychedelic vibes. Gravekvlt deliver dirty black-thrash with punk spirit, and Insanity Alert keep the speed high with oldschool thrash metal full of humor and mosh-ready riffs.

Shaâgroth will will deliver a dystopian version of cyberpunk, along with a matching stage show. Lofofora bring French alternative metal with hardcore roots and political edge, followed by Oddism, who mix modern metal with progressive and atmospheric parts. Parlor go darker with intense post-hardcore and sludge influences, before Pogo Car Crash Control explode with raw garage punk and grunge-flavored alternative rock. Red Sun Atacama create wide instrumental soundscapes between post-rock and stoner, building slow but powerful climaxes blended with the right dose of punk. Finally, Strike Anywhere close the circle with fast melodic hardcore punk, strong messages, and songs made for shouting together.

And if you already enjoyed the BetiZfest in the spring, you can come back at the end of June for "Rock in Bourlon", which takes place in Bourlon, around 20 minutes from Cambrai. There you will enjoy the open-air edition of the Roadburn Festival.
