Quintana (USA) - Eternity

Quintana is the solo project of Dusty Donley – guitarist of Mississippi Bones – and Eternity is his second full-length release under this name. It’s one of those albums that doesn’t scream for attention but earns it, track by track.

From the start, Eternity brings thick riffs, heavy grooves, and a grunge feeling that stays throughout the whole record. The first track, “Timeless”, opens with a strong guitar and drums combo – direct, punchy, and without any extra fluff. You know right away: this is rock made by someone who knows what he’s doing.

The voice is deep and a bit rough, which fits the sound. It feels honest, not polished – and that’s a good thing. Songs like “Fade Away” and “Eternal Flame” show the two sides of the album: heavy and loud, but also thoughtful and emotional. Especially “Eternal Flame” brings slower parts and a more personal vibe.

Dusty Donley plays everything himself, but the album doesn’t feel like a one-man show. The songs are tight, the sound is full, and there’s a clear idea behind it. It’s grunge meets stoner rock, with some classic heavy vibes in between – no experiments, just solid songwriting.

The production is clean, but still raw enough to keep the underground feeling alive. It’s not trying to be retro – but it’s also not chasing modern trends. It just rocks, and that’s what counts.

Eternity is a strong album for fans of honest, heavy, guitar-driven rock. It's not flashy, but it sticks. If you like fuzzy riffs, 90s grunge mood, and a DIY spirit, this one should be on your radar.
