Sometimes I receive emails that turn into more than just a quick click-and-delete because I don't like the music. That's what happened when Sergio, one of the employees at Aloud Music in Barcelona, sent me an E-Mail. I've had this label on my radar ever since the AM Festival in 2018 (https://www.heavystoned.eu/live-report/amfestival-2018/. Aloud Music releases music far removed from the mainstream and has a real knack for discovering new acts. For example, Emma Ruth Rundle first played at the AM Festival and then went on to perform at larger alternative rock festivals throughout Europe. I'm posting Aloud-Music´s latest releases without much further ado; the music doesn't work without the video, and vice versa, and that brings us to the art, which is paramount in all their releases. These works of art, encompassing music, dance, and video, demonstrate that creativity is a productive way of dealing with tension. In each of these videos and songs, there are aspects and patterns that I found compelling 30 years ago. Therefore, this modern, experimental music automatically transports me back to that time.

‘Blu’ is the preview song for the new EP, ‘attä’. The feeling of a Sunday night with the radio too loud, cold soup for dinner and a cold heart.

Lyrics:
Monday will come, we will forget that all love is, unforgettable.
The past dissolves.
What I will forget, the body keeps well,
Even my mouth, I am silent, it has always been there.
Toe's song, the rain touches it and makes it more beautiful.
I'm lost, it's always been there, we've always been there.
Monday will come, Monday will come, you'll talk dryly to me.
arima
It's pretty crazy in Spain; the Basque Country essentially produces only two types of music: punk or avant-garde. The punks play all over the country, while the avant-garde artists are discovered by the Catalans and mainly play at music festivals organized by Aloud Music. This is also the case with Arima, which is essentially a mix of shoegaze, ambient, and a touch of noise.
caballo muerte
While female musicians in Germany tend to focus on doom metal, using minimal songwriting skills to channel their anger outwards and thus achieve the greatest possible emotional impact, the anger of female musicians in Spain is more extroverted than introverted. Caballo Muerte scream and shred their way through 2.5 minutes of noise rock à la Jesus and Mary Chain, with a touch of The Stooges, making the listener wonder when they're going to get punched in the face by this band.
salvaguarda
Salvaguarda present their video Óxido, a contender for a short film award. Musically, they draw inspiration from the French band AIR, providing the best prerequisites for an acoustic and visual treat.
patiment
What's interesting about this video is that the song itself is actually quite catchy, and the video features very aesthetically pleasing choreography, yet despite being released in June 2025, it only has just under 500 views. There's clearly a lot of work to be done in terms of promotion, because musically, this song reflects the late 80s, early 90s phase of alternative rock.
los sara fontan
The opposite is also interesting; a musically rather simple song accompanies an aesthetically sophisticated short film with powerful images, and the whole thing has garnered 20,000 views three weeks after its release. I can't quite share the enthusiasm for it, but the title "Creer Fuerte" seems to have considerable appeal for many interested viewers.
