Valley was the synonyme for an intense sound for an almost intimate audience. Okay, 5-10.000 means a big intimate affair. The audience from the front-row to the mixing deck sung all the songs from no matter which band. The huge tent and also the sound techs there created an incredible sound. I talked with a lot of bands and also with some sound techs from bands I know and even they didn´t knew the magic of the Valley´s sound.
For me it´s a sign that Sludge, Doom and Stoner became more and more mainstream because they played on the old mainstages from 2011, with big screens on both sides. It will be only a question of time when the Valley will get bigger than it was and it supposed to be.
