We were honored to got invited to this festival which turned out into a fantastic festival with friends, new friends, new bands and a positive atmosphere around and in the venue. Totally DIY with heart and passion. Check the live reports by clicking the flags below.
Luc the Dude (Death by Rippin´) did it again. Surf, sun and SonicBlast, which are the best decisions for northern Portugal in the middle of August. The best sound along on one of the best surf spots in Portugal during an absolutely insane line-up forced him to choose between three highlights.
My friends Jaime Gracia Perez (fotos) and José Mora (report) finally nailed their live report about this year´s edition of Hellfest. This year's motto was "Welcome to Infernopolis" and the line-up promised a lot of variety. Click on the button!!
Finally! The report in german and english about the 2024 edition is online and again, thank you Stoned and Caligula666 and all the bands for this amazing festival. Some bands weren´t our cup of coffee, others were, so it is. Click on the flag for the report.
This year's line-up was far more experimental than in previous years, which was obviously also the reason for the lower number of spectators than last year. If the usual suspects had been on the bill again, it would have been: "Again like Orange Goblin, Graveyard, etc." So the level of pre-Corona (over)saturation has apparently been reached again. The only difference is that transport and energy costs drove ticket and hotel prices to unprecedented levels. Added to this was the German Cup final...
The Frenchies from Desert Rock.com recorded some videos from this year´s Hellfest. The Valley moved behind the WarZone, I guess because a lot of Stoner freaks were ancient Punk- and Hardcore-Freaks, so the organization cut their ways.
What remains after a festival? The unexpected. The unexpected nearby parking place, the unexpected venues with an unexpected incredible good sound and light, the unexpected green and clean outdoor area around the Columbiahalle, the unexpected low prices for good food, the unexpected meetings with all our favorite bands, the unexpected socket close to the tattoo stand, the unexpected well working running-order despite all the rumors in advance. Thank you all for made this happen.
