France knows how to do wine, cheese – and apparently, full-throttle stoner punk, too. With Bronca 2, the band from La Fare Les Oliviers delivers a tight, ten-track album that sounds like a wild
road trip through fuzz, fire, and pure DIY spirit. If you’ve seen them live – like at the Rising Dead Boys Festival in September 2024 – you know: these guys don’t play shows, they throw musical
punches with a smile.
The opener "Broken Nose" sets the tone right: no frills, just riffs that hit like a steel boot. "Living In a Lie" keeps the momentum high, mixing sharp energy with raw, almost desperate vocals.
It's fast, loud, and totally unapologetic.
"Like a Rooster" brings in a groovy swagger that shows BRONCA know their desert rock – imagine Kyuss if they grew up in Marseille. Then comes "Boring Days", a mid-tempo banger that stomps more
than it sprints, with a bassline that grumbles like a tired dog guarding its last bone.
“Feel Like A Man” is a real standout – a sweaty mix of ego, anger, and guitars that sound like they’re falling apart in the best way. There’s a kind of joyful chaos in this one that only comes
from a band who’ve been doing this for years and know exactly when to push the pedal and when to let it slide.
“Anarchy” and “Against The Law” are BRONCA’s protest anthems – not in a preachy way, but in a fists-in-the-air, bar-shouting tone that feels more real than most political rock out there. These
guys aren’t here to change the world – they’re here to scream at it.
Then comes "My Name Is Johnny", which could easily be the theme song for a B-movie outlaw. It’s fun, fast, and catchy as hell. “Walk”, the penultimate track, slows things down just a touch,
dragging you through the dust with a riff that feels like it’s pulling chains.
The final track, "No Future", wraps things up with a bang – a short, sharp, kick-in-the-teeth closer that leaves no doubt: BRONCA means business.
What really sells this album, besides the music, is the band itself. The guys are experienced, humble, and seriously cool. They've been playing music for a long time, and you can hear it in every
note. No ego, no fake rock star posing – just honest noise and big hearts.
BRONCA 2 is not just a record – it’s a sweaty handshake and a beer in the sun. Pure, loud, and lovable.
