Alber Jupiter (FRA) - Daddy´s Spaceship
Daily Peaks · 05-02-2024
The French duo Alber Jupiter holds the torch which was lost by Tuber after their record "Out of the Blue". The torch of danceable, instrumental rock with no matter of ingredients. "Daddy´s Spaceship" is a colorful trip through different soundscapes, driven forward by a straight 4/4-beat. I wish that this music had existed already in the 70´s and I´m looking forward to see this band on one of the countless summer open-airs in 2024.

Artifacts & Uranium (GBR) - Phase IV

Hawkwind at its best between 1970 and 1973. Nuff said; instrumental Space Rock, highly mesmerizing and hypnotizing.

Metsikkö (FIN) - Halluncinations in nordic Noir
Daily Peaks · 20-12-2023
I don´t know which weed these guys smoked to perform their album which became quite heavy psychedelic and spacey. And as always, the Fins know where to look and to benchmark their influences. Fasten your seatbelts and be ready for an 22 minutes - or was it 22 lightyears - trip through space by listening the two parts of Halluncinations in nordic noir

Astrochemists (SING) - Planets Collide
Daily Peaks · 10-12-2023
Lemmy once said about Hawkwind: " If you get the flutes, the sax and the jingalingaling out of Hawkwind, it´s a very heavy music." So the Astrochemists from Singapore added a kind of jingalingaling 80´s mini-synth and massive guitars and driving rhythms so it comes quite near to the classic Hawkwind sound. It is almost mind-blowing what this band offers you; heavy riffs, a driving, forward pushing beat, hypnotizing riffs and the mentioned jingalingaling-thing.

Some names really attract me, like this one. And after listening to their music, I find the whole thing really attractive. Check the review in the album report.

Mars Red Sky (France) - Dawn of the Dusk
Daily Peaks · 30-11-2023
First of all, Mars Red Sky is painting with sounds and for me it´s more enjoyable at home at not in a concert venue. Their music needs time and also a lot of space and it´s far away from Rock´n Roll.

Astrochemists - A Trip to the Galaxies
Heavystoned Albums · 06-06-2023
Hailing from Singpore and heavenly influenced by trippy and heavy sounds, this band knows how to build up a certain tension to make a 35 minutes song interesting and fast-passing.

New edition of Rock in Bourlon 2023
Festivals · 23-02-2023
Despite the problems with Sum Up, this year´s edition of Rock in Bourlon will take place. The entrance will be free again. The festival is organised by an association and financed by donations. So the donations for this year should be a bit more higher to get the organisation team out of the financial trouble with Sum up.
