Atomic Yeti come from Saskatoon, a city located in the heart of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. I looked up the local climate on Wikipedia and found the following information in the German version: "The average temperature in Saskatoon is -17°C in January and 19°C in July. Summers are severely arid, with frequent periods without rain. Saskatoon is considered sunnier than other Canadian cities, boasting an average of 2,380 hours of sunshine per year, excluding showers. Extremely high temperatures of up to 40°C can be reached during the summer months. Thunderstorms and severe weather typically occur during the summer months, including hail, storms, strong winds, and tornadoes." Sounds like ideal conditions for blending such a bone-dry stoner rock sound with classic American influences like Grand Funk Railroad. Every song grabs you after just 15-20 seconds and rocks and grooves perfectly at 55 mph. The whole album is a cohesive whole and you'll want to listen to it on repeat multiple times.
